Just a little story that Scott and I wanted to remember...
The other day we were at a little gathering for a missionary who is leaving soon. There was only one other little kid there, a girl named Addison. She was 3 years old and such a cutie pie! She and Mason immediately became friends, holding hands and following each other around.
They played great the whole time, then it was time for us to go. But Mason had to pee first, so we were waiting until he was done. As we waited and waited, he finally came out and we found Mason and Addison had both been in the bathroom. I said, "What are you doing sweetie??" Mason simply said, "Nothing Mom. Addison and I just had to go to the bathroom." After a bit of inspection, we found that toothpaste had been squeezed out onto the side of the bathtub. Crazy kids!
During this time that Addison and Mason were playing together, Dakota found a new favorite buddy. The soon-to-be-missionary's brother took Kota in the backyard and played basketball with her. Somehow, this is one of Dakota's favorite things to do! Granted, it is one of mine as well, but unfortunately we don't have a basketball hoop or anything so it's funny how much she likes it when she doesn't see us play it or anything. She had an absolute blast playing with him, and each time they came in the house, she would want to go back out to play again.
In fact, Dakota loves watching basketball too. If that is ever given to her as an option, she will inevitably choose to watch basketball. I LOVE how she loves it. :o)
