San Francisco and Lake Tahoe

We took our first family vacation in the beginning of September. It was so much fun! As a preface, let me tell you that on my flight back home, due to an overweight suitcase, I had to leave some things behind for my friend to mail to me. One of those things was our camera case with equipment to download pictures. It was a difficult decision to leave it, but one that had to be made. :o) Here's how the trip went...

We flew to San Francisco and had a layover in Phoenix on Thursday the 4th. So, of course, my mom, sister and her kids drove to the airport to see us! We had like 10 minutes to hug and take pictures and admire how big all the kids are getting, and then we were back on a plane. It was so nice just to get to see them and give them all hugs.

We drove to Yosemite from San Francisco for a wedding and then drove back to San Francisco for our flight back home. On Monday Scott went home and my friend Jenny, who lives in Reno, picked me up and we spent a few days together.

Here is Mason and I in front of the Golden Gate bridge. It was SUPER windy and cold here. It felt fabulous! Mason, however, wasn't dressed for the cold so I threw on the warmest clothes I had packed, which happened to be orange and red!

We also went to Lake Tahoe and it was real windy there too. Mason was in my front carrier and I tried to keep him warm by zipping the sweater around him. And it looked so goofy, I had to get a picture! (That is Mason's arm by the way :o)
